The Tour Experience

Enjoy a tropical welcome drink prepared with our awarded TRESCLAVOS rum!

While enjoying your cocktail, our guide will take you through a brief history of our Puerto Rican heritage in our Casa Pepón Visitors Center. Afterwards, visit our Aging Bodega, Sugarcane Estate and Sugarcane Mill.

Then we journey into our distillery, production area and learn about our unique rum distillation in our French Cognac Pot Stills. Lastly, we head back to Casa Pepón for more fun with our artisanal Rum Tasting session!

“We enjoyed our tour of this small family-owned destillery!” The tour included a generous amount of testings, light snacks and a welcome cocktail, They produce Ron Pepon, which is the only rum produced from sugarcane juice grown in Puerto Rico. They also produce Tres Clavos, delicious caña using different fruits from the island (quenepa, parcha, piña, coco). We even saw the production line, where 4 ladies were packing each and every bottle they sold! Love this destillery!

I had a great tour there today! I loved hearing about their distillation process and going out into the actual field of sugarcane that they use in their rum. Fun fact - It's the only distillery in Puerto Rico that uses sugarcane grown here in PR. The fruits they use in the rum are also locally sourced. The staff there was incredibly friendly! They met us with a delicious welcome drink & at the end of the tour, you get to sample ALL of their rums! I will definitely be taking people who come visit me to San Juan Artisan Distillers for a tour. Thank you!!

If you're looking for a distillery that has a local feel, this is it. Monica guided our group of 6 on an amazing tour around their property that boasts the only "farm to table" distillery model in all of Puerto Rico. Getting to walk through the sugar cane fields all the way through the process to when the rum was bottled was fantastic. Monica knowledgeably answered our many, many questions and gave the tour a very personalized feel. Oh yeah, and the rum was delicious!

We had an amazing experience! A beautiful local distillery tour with a tasting of 9 rums. Welcome drink with a quick history, tour of aged barrels, sugar cane field, distilling, manufacturing and then a tasting. Amazing experience in a local atmosphere. Monica gave us a tour and was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun!! Would recommend if you are looking for an authentic experience! After the tasting, we ended up purchasing 8 bottles of rum! questions and gave the tour a very personalized feel. Oh yeah, and the rum was delicious!

It's refreshing going to a business and seeing the entire process of a product in one location. From field to bottle, this company is run in Puerto Rico by Puerto Ricans. When asked who bottled the rum, our guide started listing the names of the employees. I love supporting small and local businesses. Happily bringing a bottle of rum back to the states with me!
